KANSAS CITY CX STEMMY AWARDS The WiSTEMM committee is accepting nominations for the Fourth Annual CX STEMMy Awards. Award descriptions and criteria are listed below. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: The following requirements apply to all STEMMy awards: The nominee must be living and working in the Kansas City metropolitan area / surrounding region Nominee must work or be pursuing an education within a STEMM field (science, technology, engineering, mathematics, or medicine) Award winners must be able to attend the WiSTEMM Luncheon on September 21, 2017 GENERAL CRITERIA: STEMMy awards will be evaluated on the following criteria: WiSTEMM Champion recognized by other women in STEMM professions, promotes gender equity in leadership roles, supports women entering or growing STEMM careers, celebrates achievement by women in STEMM. 360 Degree Leadership casts vision, sets and attains goals, learns from other leaders, mentors others, influences peers, propels innovation and change. Industry Excellence expert on product/service, history of high quality results, customer loyalty, contributor to progress in their industry, involvement in professional organizations Community Engagement impact to our community, drives positive economic trends, demonstrates social responsibility, invests in employee culture. SPECIFIC AWARD CRITERIA: Ground Breaker Leadership Award A woman with 10+ years of post-graduate experience in a STEMM field Holds a leadership position in their organization Has made significant contributions to the STEMM community Rising Trendsetter Award Award a Rising Trendsetter to a woman in STEMM areas A woman with less than 20 years of experience Has demonstrated significant achievements early in their career Enterprising Innovator A woman STEMM business owner for a minimum of 5 years Must work / do business in the Kansas City metro area Provide evidence of company vision / achievement of goals Corporate Hero A company that promotes women in STEMM Actively engaged in the KC Metro area STEMM community Provides a high level of benefits to women working in STEMM fields WiSTEMM Educator A full time faculty member in a STEMM field Minimum of 10 years experience Recognized by his/her institution as an excellent educator based upon student or faculty assessments Demonstrates involvement STEMM-related student activities (e.g. faculty sponsor of an engineering organization) WiSTEMM Student Achiever A female college student currently enrolled in a Kansas or Missouri college / university Demonstrates academic achievements Demonstrates involvement in the community Professional aspirations must be related to STEMM
